The gallery will have some basic supplies on hand, like scissors and brushes, however artists are expected to be self sufficient and bring their own supplies. In the past participants have worked on everything from illustrations and paintings, to fishing flies and mending projects. We welcome all forms of creative expression, just please avoid brining any projects that are overly loud or smelly.

WATERCOLOUR HOLIDAY CARD WORKSHOP

LIFE DRAWING | WEEKLY DROP IN

Life Drawing is back and will run every Monday night until the end of March. Join us for a Life Drawing session where artists of all skill levels can practice drawing from a live model. Make sure to arrive early to claim your spot and get set up.

RING WORKSHOP

Spend the day at the Revelstoke Visual Arts Centre learning the art of silver jewelry making. In this workshop, you’ll design, texture, and shape your own custom ring, then finish it to a smooth polish. By the end of the class, you’ll walk away with a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry that you made yourself.

Continuing Clay | 6 Week Intermediate Course

Ready to take your pottery practice further? Our Continuing Clay Workshop is perfect for students who have completed Beginner Pottery—or have instructor approval—and want to build on their skills. This class offers a mix of wheel throwing and handbuilding, giving you the freedom to explore new techniques and forms. Bring your ideas to the first class, and the instructor will tailor the lessons to your individual goals. Whether you’re refining your work on the wheel or experimenting with sculptural projects, this workshop is designed to help you grow creatively and technically.

KEEPING A NATURE SKETCHBOOK
Hosted by Rachel Prins
In this class you will focus on the habits of keeping a sketchbook, and using it to connect to nature. Sketchbooks are a fantastic way to record the world around you, try out techniques or materials, and be a travel companion on your journeys. In this class we’ll go over tips for keeping a consistent sketchbook practice and sketching outdoors. We’ll then enjoy an afternoon sketching different natural objects and from photos, and at the end share our work together. The focus of the class will be on getting beyond the blank page and enjoying the everyday practice of making art.

CREATIVE WRITING 4 WEEK COURSE
CREATIVE WRITING 4 WEEK COURSE

Our 4-Week Creative Writing Crash Course and dive deep into the fundamentals of storytelling! Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your skills, this course will equip you with the tools to bring your ideas to life on the page.
What You’ll Learn:
- Style & Characterization
- Plot & Narrative Arc
- Genre Exploration: Literary, Suspense, Romance, Horror & more
- Dialogue & Tension Building
Across the four weeks, you’ll progressively build the outline and character maps for a short story up to 2,000 words, which can be tailored for either adult or children’s literature. By the final session, you’ll share your completed story with the class for constructive peer reviews, applying the techniques you’ve learned.

The Teeny Art Gallery is live, ever-changing, and waiting for you! This miniature gallery operates on the “take a piece, leave a piece” model. Create something tiny, place it in the gallery, and take home a new tiny masterpiece!
